This policy explains what personal data LetsConnectIn collects, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect the minimum needed to run mentoring programs well.

1. What we collect

• Account data: name, email, password (stored as a bcrypt hash — we never see it).
• Profile data you choose to add: job title, company, department, LinkedIn URL, meeting preferences.
• Program data: enrollment role, mentoring areas, a short bio or goal you write, matches, session notes, goals, and survey feedback.
• Billing data: plan, billing contact email and address, purchase-order details. We do not collect or store card numbers.
• Usage data: product events (e.g., logins, matches published) used for program health and service operations.

2. How we use it

• To operate the Service: matching, notifications, reminders, and program reports.
• To email you what the product promises (intro emails, nudges, digests, receipts). We use SendGrid as our email processor.
• To support you and improve the Service.
• We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who can see your data

• Your program's admins can see your enrollment details, matches, and session activity within their program.
• Your mentor/mentee sees your profile, bio or goal, and shared session notes.
• Our infrastructure providers process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), SendGrid (email).

4. Retention & deletion

• Account and program data are kept while your account is active.
• Usage events are retained for up to 13 months.
• You may request export or deletion of your personal data via contact or info@letsconnectin.com; we respond within 30 days.

5. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by our providers; passwords are bcrypt-hashed; access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure — report concerns to the contact below.

6. Cookies

We use one essential cookie: your login session. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to processing. Contact us to exercise them.
